According to Reuters, between 150,000 and 250,000 antiwar demonstrators filled up three miles of Manhattan streets today, marching from Times Square down to Washington Square. It was huge and inspiring, which made it easy to forget to ask questions about where the movement goes from here. The immediate war may turn out to be short (though of course it may not), but former Halliburton CEO Dick Cheney has told us it'll be a 50-year war.
